Patient testimonial: Shermila Fernando's family & the impact of dengue in Sri Lanka
Shermila Fernando is a Sri Lankan mother: in 2012, her youngest son contracted dengue and in 2016 it was her eldest son, who spent nine days in hospital, followed immediately by her daughter.
In this video, Shermila and her children narrate their family's journey to overcome dengue in Sri Lanka, a country which has gone from having hardly any dengue cases twenty years ago to having almost 200,000 cases this year.
