Dengue is a viral disease that causes approximately 500,000 hospitalizations each year worldwide and approximately half of the world’s population is at risk. We all are working to raise awareness of the global burden of dengue. As part of this global awareness effort, Takeda Vaccines has developed this animation to demonstrate the impact and prevalence of dengue globally, as well as elevate the voice of dengue survivors through its testimonial videos of dengue patients and their families. This brief animated video explains what dengue virus is, how it affects the body, and how it is a growing threat throughout the world.
